The Ulanzi AS-D30 is a 30cm octagonal softbox with advanced features to modify and soften light output, making it a remarkable tool for a wide variety of photography and videography situations. It’s equipped with a Mini Bowens Mount, enabling it to attach smoothly to 40W COB video lights.
One of the standout aspects of this softbox is its quick pack feature, which means it’s designed with easy disassembly and reassembly in mind. This characteristic promotes convenience and portability, thus making it an appropriate choice for on-the-go creatives who often change shooting locations.
The use of an octagonal shape makes a significant difference to the quality of light produced. It offers a natural, eye-pleasing catchlight when used as a key light source, elevating portraits to a professional standard. Moreover, the box takes up less space due to its compact design but does not compromise the potent light diffusion required for top-grade imagery.
The Ulanzi AS-D30 nurtures the delivery of well-balanced, soft light that reduces harsh shadows and enhances the detail and texture of the subject. This makes it an exceptional addition to any photographer or videographer’s toolkit, particularly those who strive for high-quality light control in their work.
